Colonial Village is a historic multifamily subdivision in Arlington County, Virginia.  Its 226 contributing buildings were developed by Gustave Ring and designed by Washington Architect Harvey Warwick. Constructed in four stages from 1935 to 1940, the noteworthy project originally consisted of 1,055 affordable apartments; the first FHA-insured, large-scale rental housing project built in the U.S. In the early 1980s, Colonial Village was redeveloped into six independent entities; three condominiums (Colonial Villages I, II and III), a cooperative (The Commons), and two apartment complexes (Colonial Village Apartments and Colonial Village West).

The garden apartment complex was designated a local historic district by the Arlington County Board in December of 1978 and the National Park Service listed the Village on the National Register of Historic Places in December of 1990.

The Colonial-Revival-style brick buildings of Colonial Village are connected by courtyards and landscaped green spaces.

Most units are one and two bedroom floor plans ranging in size from 600-900 square feet, but some studios are also included. All units have one bath. Studios have wall air conditioners and other units have central air. Each building has a community laundry room. In-unit washers & dryers are not allowed. Permit-only lot parking is available at Colonial Village I and III.
