About East Falls Church

East Falls Church is an urbanburb located in the western portion of Arlington County, Virginia. It is bounded by 27th Street N and 33rd Street to the north,John Marshall Drive and N Quantico Street to the east, 11th Rd N at N Roosevelt Street at its southern tip and intersects East Falls Church Park and Isaac Crossman Park as it extends diagonally to the northwest to Meridian Street just south of Andrew Ellicott Park, traveling diagonally northward back to 33rd Street and Trinidad Street.

The land in and around East Falls Church was primarily used for dairy farming. A few farmhouses and other residences in East Falls Church neighborhood were built from the 1870’s through early 1900’s, but most were constructed during the building booms of the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s. Part of the Falls Church (Fairfax County) neighborhood for 60+ years, East Falls Church was reincorporated into Arlington County in 1936.

In 1982, the section of I-66 that runs from the Capital Beltway through East Falls Church was completed and the Metro stop opened in 1986,

East Falls Church offers single-family homes, townhouses, condos and rental apartments near the East Falls Church Metro station. The primary commercial district is located at the intersection of Lee Highway, Washington Boulevard and I-66.

Amenities of East Falls Church include the W&OD and Custis Bike Trails, Benjamin Banneker Park, East Falls Church Park, Madison Manor Park and Tuckahoe Park.
